SnackDown: Post S'mores Cereal

Welcome to this week's edition of Snackdown where I look at cereals, sodas and other assorted snacks. This week, we return to the cereal aisle, but not for a cereal featuring movie characters, but a newer cereal I've discovered called Post S'mores. Since it is summer and a perfect time for the classic campfire treat, having a cereal based on it sounds delicious. But is this cereal any good and will it leave me wanting S'more? Also, this has no affiliation with

Kellogg's S'morz cereal

Or General Mills' S'mores Crunch. Though the latter definitely feels like it has inspired this new version.

This time around our pieces of cereal include graham bits mixed in with chocolate puffs with big round marshmallows. in terms of presentation it feels like someone did the fusion dance of Golden Grahams, Coco Puffs/Nesquik Cereal and threw in some marshmallows for extra flavor. It honestly looks less like S'mores and a bag of sugary trail mix. So, how does it equate with milk and a bowl?

In terms of flavor, it's quite tasty. A good mixture of chocolate and graham that blends itself into a sweet cinnamon taste. The marshmallows are basic flavor and don't pop as much as its tougher cereal counterparts. The milk also turns a murky brown after a minute or so of exposure to the chocolate bits. While it doesn't taste like it offers the quality of a s'more in a cereal, it's still a pretty delicious cereal nonetheless. A definite step up from the last cereal we covered which was the Finding Dory Fruity Swirls. I'd say it's worth a try. Give it a pick up if you can.
